We have a contact with a company who makes LEC's, and no, that's not a typing error, they're "light-emitting capacitors," and they look super-wicked-cool at night. What they are is basically a 0.5 millimeter-thick sheet of material with two wires coming out the side, and when you apply current to the wires the entire panel glows. We are planning on creating a kit that will have chrome saddlebag inserts with "POLICE" cut out of them, then we will place the LEC panels behind the cutouts (sandwiched in between the saddlebag and the insert) so that the cutout is backlit. TOTALLY SWEET!!! Take a look at the prototype and see for yourself...
