Plug-and-play is on the way
As we continue to work on improving the quality of our products here at Squad-Fitters, we are finding new ways to make our radio boxes in particular easier to use and install. We are essentially looking to make our boxes "plug-and-play," to the point where you could hand a random person off the street a Harley-Davidson police motorcycle and one of our boxes, and they would be able to install the box on the motorcycle in less than fifteen minutes, without the aid of instuctions.
In the near future, instead of having to drill mounting holes into the radio mount plate on your Harley-Davidson, you will simply need to remove the five nuts in the mounting holes that come with the bike, set our box on the mounting plate, and secure it with the five new nuts that accompany the box. That's it. That's the whole install.
We know what you're thinking... "That sounds easy enough, but what if there's emergency lighting on the box? Doesn't that stuff have to be hooked up to the handlebar switch somehow?" Yes, yes it does, but we're making that literally as easy as plugging the male end of a connector on the motorcycle into the female end of a connector inside the box.
"But what if I want my box to have a Whelen strip-lite stop/tail light, or it's a Havis-Shields box with the built-in brake light? You can't tell me THAT'S going to be plug-and-play too, right? I mean, you have to tap into the rear fender wiring harness, don't you?" Nope. That's going to be a plug too.
"Okay, what if I want the Whelen strip-lite stop/turn/tail light, the one with the amber turn signals on each end and then a red brake/tail light in the center??? There's no way... right?" Wrong. That's going to have a harness that goes between the rear fender harness and the main wiring harness.
Simply put, when we say "plug-and-play," we really mean plug-and-play. Ask about it today for more info.
