Pictured is the Arlington County Police Department Motor Squad in front of the rebuilt west wall of the Pentagon. Members of this unit were both witnesses and first responders to the terrorist attack on the Pentagon on September 11th. ACPD motor officers were detailed to the Pentagon crash site under the on-scene command of Lt. Bruce Hackert for three weeks. During that time the squad escorted numerous VIPs to the crash site, including President George Bush. Arlington's Motor Squad, commanded by Capt. David Herbstreit, is made up of twelve 2000 & 2001 Harley-Davidson FLHTPI Electra Glides, and is looking to increase its numbers to 14 in the next two or three months.
