This Strip-Lite has a low-intensity steady-burn feature to act as a running light, then when you apply your brakes it will produce one of two full-intensity flash patterns; Steady-burn or Signal-Alert (tm), which is four flashes followed by steady-burn. This augments your brake light and tail light, but not turn signals.
