Impact Jackets provide personal airbag protection. After the helmet, they may be the most important safety innovation for motorcycle riders. Just about anything your body hits at high speed can cause injury or death. The jacket provides extra protection to the most vulnerable parts of the body: The front chest, side ribs, and back area, giving support to the neck and spine.

Each Impact Jacket comes with a lanyard attached to the jacket and an anchoring cable for the frame of the bike. In the event of an accident, the lanyard will separate from the bike, activating the CO2 cartridge to instantly inflate the jacket within approximately 0.5 seconds. CO2 cartridges are only good for one inflation, but they can be replaced, unlike your soft fleshy ass. (Do not worry about forgetting to unhook the lanyard, it takes 25-35# of pull force to activate, leaving enough room to minimize false inflations.)
