SQUAD FITTERS, located in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois, provides police motorcycle accessories for both domestic and international police departments. Available accessories range from sirens and lights to helmets and jackets. Currently, each product can be purchased from a distributor or directly from SQUAD FITTERS catalog. Founded in November of 1993 by Bill Weisiger, the company evolved from a suggestion made by an executive of Harley-Davidson. Harley-Davidson recognized the need to transfer its minor accessorizing business to another company and found in SQUAD FITTERS the perfect opportunity to outsource its accessory activities. The relationship allowed Harley-Davidson to concentrate on motorcycle production and afforded Bill Weisiger and SQUAD FITTERS the opportunity to become associated with the largest producer of police motorcycles in the United States. Once established, SQUAD FITTERS was authorized by Harley-Davidson as an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of Harley-Davidson police motorcycle accessories. The company steadily grew and in December of 1994, Kawasaki signed a similar OEM agreement with SQUAD FITTERS.
